Hours after the Goa summit of the leading opposition party the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), veteran leader Shri LK Advani, writes to the president of the party Shri Rajnath Singh and demands either an explanation on Modi’s promotion and nomination for the upcoming elections OR Singh’s resignation in lieu of the explanation.
Shri Advani’s action seems obvious given his tenured experience in politics and with the party (BJP). Singh on the other hand appears to be in a dilemma and is known to be going through confronting thoughts while being unable to decide what is to be done.
On one side there’s the promising Modi who looks like the prevalent crush of both the nation and the party unanimously. And on the other side is veteran Mr. Advani who presently is the Chairman of the BJP Parliamentary Party and has had the ambition of becoming the Prime Minister of India throughout his decade’s long political career.
Singh surely would find it difficult to convince a rigid Advani after all the embraces that he had already extended to Modi in Advani’s absence in Goa. Advani on the other hand is pretty adamant this time around and has articulated his demands sturdily, and wants Singh to step down on his gross failure to identify the right candidate.
Singh has been seeking opinion in the matter and would sooner or later find a way to pass a soft dismissal on Advani’s offer considering his age, health and tenure in the party. The official spokesperson of the party remained unavailable for any comments in the meanwhile.
